PEMBROKE PINES, FL – March 1, 2024 – Emphasys Software (“Emphasys”), a leader in providing tailored software solutions for Public Housing Authorities, announced today that Jeff Cook has been named General Manager and CEO. He takes the place of Dave Badun, who has been leading Emphasys since 2020. Badun will remain with Aquila Software as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing Emphasys as well as other business units under the Aquila umbrella.
Cook joined Emphasys as the Director Professional Services, serving in that position for two years until stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer/VP of Operations. Of his successor, Badun said, “Jeff and I have been working together for the past three years, and I have been so impressed with what he’s been able to accomplish in each and every project, department, and task that he’s been involved in. He’s been instrumental in key hirings and bringing teams together. His dedication to finding talent within our organization to develop new programs, invest in new tools and processes, and break down silos is impressive. As Portfolio Manager, I look forward to continued collaboration with Jeff, as well as seeing customers and colleagues at conferences and other industry events.”

Cook has 20 years of leadership experience, working with teams ranging from start-ups to well-known Fortune 100 companies such as John Deere, FTD, and Constellation Software. Specializing in operational efficiencies, software implementation, and customer success, Cook has consistently demonstrated his capabilities in high-growth technical environments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science.
