I began my housing career at the Gary Housing Authority in Gary, Indiana, where I spent 15 years growing through a variety of roles and building the foundation for my future in training and consulting. In May 1996, I joined Creative Computer Solutions as a Software Trainer under Lynette, our Director of Professional Services. I still remember her telling me, “You are CCS’s gain and the housing authority’s loss,” — a compliment that has stayed with me throughout my career.
In 2000, CCS was acquired by Constellation Software Inc. and merged with Memory Lane Systems. Through that transition, I became the only CCS trainer to continue after the merger. Fast forward 30 years, and I’m still proud to be part of the Professional Services team.
My role has allowed me to travel to most of the U.S. and even internationally, representing Emphasys in places like Barbados and Toronto. Two of my most memorable trips were to Anchorage, Alaska — once in December, when daylight was almost nonexistent, and again in May, when the sun was still shining at 11 p.m. Those experiences inspired a bucket list goal: visiting Barrow, Alaska to experience 24 hours of daylight.
I’ve proudly spent three decades with the Professional Services team as a trainer and consultant, and I truly wouldn’t have it any other way. Clients often recognize my patience and support during training and implementations — something I value deeply.
With retirement on the horizon in the coming years, I’m enjoying every moment. And when I’m not working, I’m an avid fan of thriller movies. Need a recommendation? I’m your person!

- Most used app on your phone? Facebook is the app on my phone that I use the most. I am able to see the birthdays of those in my circle. I don’t post much but like to keep abreast of life events of my circle of friends.
- If you could be somebody else at Emphasys for a day, who would you be? I would say Yvette and/or Lance. Their knowledge of the housing industry is remarkable. Any question I ask they know the answer to it!
- If you had an extra hour every day, what would you do with it? An extra hour a day? What a treat! I would watch a thriller movie which is one of my favorite things to do!
- The zombie apocalypse is coming; who are three people you want on your team? Munnah Khallaq, Paul Maltby and Jerry VanDreumel.
- Favorite ice cream flavor? Butter Pecan, hands down.
