Meet Steve Mikrut: Our New Director of Support Services

We’re thrilled to introduce our new Director of Support Services, Steve Mikrut, who just joined the Emphasys team on August 14th. Steve brings with him a passion for excellence that’s already making an impact on our organization.

Steve’s extensive background includes managing IT helpdesk and support services in various industries, such as finance, telecommunications, software design, and legal. Notably, Steve built MCI Wireless’ Technical Assistance Group (TAG) from a small regional center with just a handful of technicians, into their national center, with over 350 technicians. TAG received several awards for its outstanding service and performance under his leadership.

His expertise extends beyond telecommunications, as he successfully reworked FTD’s Mercury Technology Center supporting four different product lines and over 18,000 members in the Western Hemisphere. He also supported global IT efforts for a premier private trading firm. He also re-engineered the American Bar Association’s IT helpdesk services before moving on to Prescient Solutions where he built a thriving Managed Service Provider business from the ground up. Steve’s dedication to continuous improvement is highlighted by his certification as a Call Center Manager through HDI, emphasizing his focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) and process enhancement.

Beyond his professional achievements, Steve has a unique hobby – flying model planes, including an impressive 12.5-foot wingspan model. His passion for precision and attention to detail extends to both his work and his leisure pursuits.

Steve’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction aligns perfectly with Emphasys Software’s values. We look forward to the positive impact he’ll bring to our Support Services division and our valued customers.

Meet Lauren Tantalo: Our New Director of Professional Services

We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Lauren Tantalo, our new Director of Professional Services. She brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our team, having spent over a decade overseeing implementation, project management, account management, and technical support at MediSked, a renowned company in the health and human services technology industry.

Her journey with MediSked took an exciting turn when the company was acquired by CaseWorthy in 2022, marking a significant milestone in her career. As the Vice President of Professional Services during her tenure, Lauren led her team to success in implementing the managed care technology solution underpinning Medicaid waiver transformations in several states as well as the first Fully Integrated Dual Advantage insurance plan in the US specifically serving an Intellectual/Developmental Disability population.

Lauren resides in Rochester, New York, with her husband, Matt, their two daughters, Lily (5) and Mia (3), and two cats. In her free time, Lauren enjoys knitting, cooking, and reading – Tom Robbins, Stephen King, and John Irving are among her favorite authors. Lauren is currently enjoying the latest season of “Only Murders in the Building,” although she is still catching up on episodes, so no spoilers!

With her impressive professional background, her busy family life, and her array of enriching hobbies, Lauren embodies the multifaceted spirit we value in our team members. We’re excited to welcome her aboard and look forward to the wealth of knowledge and perspective she brings to our organization.
