After graduating with a degree in Human Services, I spent five years in Gerontology. For ten years I worked for the State of Michigan Family Independence Agency (as a Caseworker, and then as an Analyst on a new automated system for the State). I led a design team, trained the users, and then worked in Support after implementation. I got married, left my job, and moved to California when my husband was promoted.
In 1999, I began with CCS (Creative Computer Solutions) in the California office, prior to our Memory Lane Systems merger. When my husband was promoted to Denver in 2001, I was allowed to work remotely, and have ever since. It has been a tremendous blessing, as Virginia, and Atlanta followed, and I could remain with Emphasys. I enjoy researching support issues, doing one hour trainings, conducting webinars, and leading conference sessions. I did many years of Client Management as well, and truly enjoy the relationships established with our customers. I love our clients, and our team, and look forward to the Emphasys endeavors yet to come.
The Five Questions:
-
- Most used app on your phone? LA Fitness with Ticketmaster close behind.
- If you could be somebody else at Emphasys for a day, who would you be? I can’t think of one person or position, but perhaps still be me with a twist. I would like to do support, train new support staff, organize programming tickets, do webinars, go to the conferences, attend meetings to determine new Emphasys projects and goals, and travel to PHAs to work with clients on tickets and issues, but not every week and not in bad weather, and do it all in 40 hours a week. Is that a position?
- If you had an extra hour every day, what would you do with it? Go to the pool.
- The zombie apocalypse is coming; who are three people you want on your team? My Husband, Will Smith, and Clark Kent.
- Favorite ice cream flavor? If I am going to be bad I would rather have chips, but if it has to be ice cream I would say dulce de leche.
