Position Overview:

The PHA Division of Emphasys Software, based in Petoskey, MI is looking for two high-energy, self-starting near-future, current, or recent graduates to fill the role of Technical Solutions Software Developer. The Technical Solutions Software Developer will be required to deliver new programming solutions as well as maintain existing products and platforms. Business Development Associate

Position Overview:

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll sell state-of-the-art products for Emphasys Software, a corporation that is ranked the best Public Housing Software in the country. Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage around 900 named accounts with the goal of driving incremental revenue growth.
  • Responsible for generating, developing, and closing software solution agreements throughout the US.  Responsibilities Includes the following:
    • New market penetration
    • Calling on senior-level executives

    • Responsible for annual quota of $700K in first year

Curriculum Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Curriculum Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for creating or coordinating the creation of the six (6) elements of the learning library for all of our core software products. Our core product line currently is comprised of 26 modules of business operations, accounting and payroll modules.

Each training program library includes the following components based on the subject-training track i.e. Beginner, General, Advance, Executive or Custom. The library components are also maintained by module or suite of modules for both classroom and self-paced learning. The tools or six (6) elements of the learning library include but are not limited to the following:

  • Agendas
  • Catalog of training nodes
  • Training aides including videos, guides and process sheets
  • Key functionality training scenarios
  • Tests
  • Certificates of achievement

The Curriculum Coordinator works closely with the Director of Consulting and Learning Services, the Professional Services Department who implements the software and the Sales Department to ensure that training programs are consistent with each customer’s business needs. They also work closely with the Product Educators who deliver the actual learning sessions.

As new products are released or existing products are updated, the Coordinator will interact with other departments for knowledge transfer and to update training materials (written, video, automated).

The focus of the position is maintain a current set of training “nodes” that can be plugged into any curriculum/agenda for any customer based on their specific needs and the version of the software the customer is using.

The position is a full-time position (located in Miami office – desired, not required). The position requires periodic limited travel.

Professional Responsibilities:

The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the understanding our customer’s business and the Emphasys PHA core products assigned. The Curriculum Coordinator is self-sufficient in the operation of the Emphasys system.

The specific responsibilities of the Coordinator primarily consist of:

  • Collaborating with the Product Educators, Sales and Professional Services staff in building a training agenda for each customer tailored to the specific engagement.
  • Creating/Maintaining effective training materials in written, video and automated format in collaboration with the Product Educators and other staff with product knowledge.
  • Maintaining the scheduling of the Product Educators for customer assignments.
  • Follow-up with Professional Services Project Manager if customer is under implementation.
  • Keep abreast of trends in training and provide idea and methods to continuously improvement Emphasys Learning Service delivery methods and service offerings.
  • Utilize effective tools for writing and presenting learning documentation and videos (Camtasia).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Product Educator - Accounting

Position Overview:

The Product Educator – Accounting (PEA) provides training to our customers implementing or currently using our Admin Suite and associated Accounting modules. The Accounting modules include but are not limited to the following core products:

  • Core Financials including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Book and General Ledger
  • Procurement
  • Inventory
  • Fixed Assets
  • Payroll including: Benefits, Human Resources, Employee Self-Service, Time and Onboarding
  • Grants Management

The Product Educator Accounting is expected to work with a moderate level of supervision from the Director of Consulting and Learning Services and interacts with Learning Services team members and the Professional Services Implementation Consultants and Scheduler.

As new products are released or existing products are updated, the PEA will interact with other departments for knowledge transfer and to update training materials (written, video, automated).

The focus of the position is the ability to become self-sufficient in the operation of products assigned for training clients. The secondary focus will be to increase one’s skillset to become knowledgeable of the industry and to provide industry as well as system training to the customer.

Product Support Technician 1

Position Overview:

The Product Support Technician 1 provides technical support to customers answering simple to moderately complex questions on software product function and usage, and serves as primary support liaison between company and customer.  Systematic diagnosis, troubleshooting, and accurately documenting issues through frequent communication with customers via telephone, email, and remote desktop sessions is typical.  The successful candidate has exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoys solving problems.

This is a full-time position located in our Miami office.  May travel to customer sites within N.A. on rare occasions.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Resolves clients’ application questions and problems in the areas of system configurations, setup, product functionality, usage, and bugs/enhancements.
  • Performs problem resolution verification (bugs/enhancements).
  • Maintains status of problem resolution and problem resolution database.
  • Serves as primary support liaison between company and customer.
  • Keeps customer informed of case status and how and when problems are resolved.
  • Involved in any additional follow up, testing, and troubleshooting of resolution fixes.
  • Works with Development teams to explain reported problems to programmers.
  • Facilitates a positive and productive long-term relationship with clients.
  • Communicates and coordinates activities with Sales, Client Management, and Professional Services.
  • Provides remote or on-site training assistance.

Candidate Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science preferred; will receive additional training on skills to fulfill the basic responsibilities of the position.
  • Software application support experience and software troubleshooting skills are beneficial.
  • Understanding of a typical software development process is a plus.
